Beyond The Summit has announced that Torqued will replace OpTic at the upcoming cs_summit 2.
This is the second tournament in a week that OpTic decide to skip, after pulling out of the North American qualifier for IEM Katowice for undisclosed reasons.
On Twitter, OpTic coach Chet "Chet" Singh apologised to the team's fans for being "kept in the dark" and added that "all will hopefully be revealed soon."
Torqued feature the core of the GX team who played at the recent ESEA Season 26 Global Challenge, in New York. After the event, the team decided to bolster their ranks with the additions of Joshua "steel" Nissan and Kenneth "koosta" Suen, with the Canadian player revealing on Twitter that he had "the blessing" to use the Torqued name.
cs_summit 2 will take place from February 8-11 in Los Angeles, California. Eight teams will be taking part in this $150,000 competition, which will be played in a double-elimination, best-of-three format.
